It's been a long and quiet summer here at Kiros, and we've long awaited an update alongside all of you! So, without further halts, let's get into what's new!
Board & Site Changes
Over the past few months, Kiros's website and forum has undergone a few changes, most note-worthy being the edits to our "Server Status" sidebar. As with the big changes coming to the game in the future, we want to incorporate policy changes and signage to ensure our community is a safe space for all to enjoy. This sidebar change reflects Kiros's age policy and serves as a final reminder before registering for an account on our website or downloading the game. Users must be 16 years or older to play Kiros and access our website. This rule is in place to protect younger users from the games content or potential swearing/16+ content. Even if you have parental consent to join/play the game, users under 16 are not permitted to play or download the game. Users found under the age of 16 will be suspended until their 16th birthday.
Our new F.A.Q page has received some updates! If you have a question regarding the game, your account, or anything else, we ask that you utilize this page as a useful tool before submitting your question to the Help Desk or the Help Boards, as you may just find your answer there.
If you have an idea for a question to add to our F.A.Q page, you may do so on our F.A.Q Submissions Thread!
Earlier this week, our Discord server received a special preview of some upcoming changes to the game! With Kiros's upcoming ALPHA stage, we've introduced the following new systems;Along with some new pages and information changes occurring on-site, we've successfully updated the Help Desk icons to reflect which department they are a part of. We hope this change will help newer users navigate the Help Desk section of the forum more efficiently.
Game Updates + Sneak Peeks
Game Updates + Sneak Peeks
Moderator Chat Color Change
Leveling + EXP
Questing
Health + Damage Bonuses
With these changes, we hope to build upon the games "grind" for items, as well as introduce a new lore or story for our users to enjoy! We've included a small sneak peek screenshot with our users in Discord as well;
Quests will be attached to your account, meaning you will be able to complete any quest you're currently working on using any character, while levels are attached to individual characters. By completing in-game quests, you will be rewarded with experience points, items, or both! Alongside permanent in-game quests, we will occasionally be releasing seasonal or event related quests.
With the current update the team is working on, we will be releasing a level 40 cap for the new leveling system. If users are reaching this cap too fast, or enough players have reached this cap, we will look into adjusting it in the future.
Stay tuned for more information and sneak peeks for our next game update!
Side Notes + Other Cool Stuff
As always, we like to include some side notes and mentions of cool things going on in the community. With that being said, we'd like to make a huge shoutout to our lead developer, Slain! In the next coming months, Slain will be getting married and beginning a new chapter in her life. All of us here at Kiros would like to wish her a huge congratulations and well wishes for her marriage. With this change, we'd like to inform our community members of some slow progress on updates in the next few months as she will be busy tending to her wedding.
In addition, we'd like to make a shoutout to Vaynrat! Vaynrat has contributed to the game immensely in the past few weeks, and is the reason our leveling + exp, and questing systems are available to us! We appreciate his generosity and contribution to improving the game. Thank you so much! ♥
This past June, we here at Kiros celebrated Pride Month and being proud of who we are. With this celebration came 10 new pride themed items, including shards, bracelets and more! We want our community to feel loved and accepted in their own skin for being who they are.
As a reminder, discrimination of any kind is not welcome anywhere here at Kiros. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to be who they are! If you are in need of a helping paw, we're always here.
Remember...
We are who we are, and we're proud.
We appreciate every single one of you for sticking around and supporting the games progress. Without all of you, we could never get this far.
As always, thank you for reading!~
