Terms of Service
When registering an account on our game and forum, you agree to the following terms. These terms may be altered or changed at any time.
User accounts hosted on our domain (http://kiros-mmorpg.com) are held at the expense of the Proboards Terms of Service as we are hosted on their web-hosting services.
Privacy Policy
When registering an account on Kiros, you provide information for that account that is stored in encrypted files. This information may be retrieved to verify the account ownership. Kiros does not sell, trade, or distribute user information from within our game servers unless required by law. Forum accounts are at the expense of the Proboards Privacy Policy as well as our own due to being hosted upon their web-hosting services.
All user data on Kiros will be stored and managed in accordance to the following policies. These policies are subject to change at any time.
What is collected and what is done with the collected data?
When registering for an account on Kiros, you provide the following information;
- • Email Address
- • IP Address
- • Date of Birth
- • Screen Name / Username
The data collected upon registration is used for the following reasons;
- • Email Address's are collected as a way to communicate with the user and confirm account ownership. Our forum also requires an active email address to register an account to download the game.
- • IP Address's are a tool primarily used by our staff team to ensure users on our platforms abide by our ToS and do not hold more than the permitted one account per person.
- • A users date of birth is collected to ensure a user is the proper age upon joining our community. Users under 16 are in violation of our Code of Conduct and are not permitted to play until their 16th birthday.
- • Upon registering, users are asked to create a unique username to identify them while they play. This username is collected to identify a users activities and account data while using our game and its servers.
How do I know my data is secure?
Unlike other games of Kiros's kind, our team has encrypted our account data with a new unique encryption key that is only held by our source code developer. This key is unique to our user accounts and is not shared elsewhere. Our source code developer will not disclose the code to anyone and is the only person able to utilize it.
Data Removal
Users are permitted at any time to have their data removed from our platforms, unless it is being utilized to uphold a suspension of any kind (IP Address or Username). Users may reach out to our support email (support@kiros-mmorpg.com) regarding the removal of their account. Once a users account data is wiped, they will no longer have access to our game or forum.
External Links
Users may host links to outside websites or forums on Kiros. Once a user clicks the link to go to the external website, they are no longer covered by our Privacy Policy. We advise users to view an outside websites Privacy Policy carefully before continuing their use of the website, as we cannot be held responsible for your data off-site.
