Fall 2021 News Update
As the leaves have begun to change color and slowly make their way to the ground, the air has grown crisp and the days shorter. It's that time of year for the fall season! What's been going on around here at Kiros?
Game Update
As of today, November 17th, the game has experienced a full game update! In this update we introduced some exciting new features as well as various bug fixes to ensure the game is running smooth and as intended for our users.
This is a friendly reminder to everyone that the leveling cap for this patch was adjusted to 15 instead of the original announced amount, 40. This change was made to ensure we could push a patch for a game breaking wound bug that was causing issues for many players. As this bug has been fixed in this new patch, players are welcome to hunt as before!
Some highlights from the v0.1.8 patch are as follows;
+ New leveling and experience system
+ New questing system
+ New NPC system
+ Refreshed chat colors

Board and Site Changes
In the past few months, the website has received various updates in various areas. One of the most notable changes is the addition of sub-boards in the game development board. These sub-boards are intended to keep everyone's suggestions into neat categories; making it easier on our developers to search for ideas pertaining to various aspects of the game. We hope this makes the section a little cleaner and more organized in the long run.
In addition to the new boards being added, we've gone ahead and cleaned up how the Help Desk on-site functions and how replies appear on tickets. This change should streamline the experience and ensure confidentiality when discussing issues with Kiros moderators.
As with the new questing system, we've added a quest directory with information regarding the quests currently in-game. This directory is a work in progress and will be updated as time goes on and more quests join the ranks in-game. The quest directory can be viewed here.
In addition to the addition of the questing directory, we've added a new event tab for when we begin to host in-game events! Once an event is active, it will be announced via the staff and published on the event tab. This tab can be viewed here.
We'd like to remind the community that were are currently looking for F.A.Q questions to add to our F.A.Q directory. If you have any questions regarding the game or forum that you would like answered, please direct them to this topic so that we may address it accordingly.
Development Roadmap
As a new patch was just released, we'd like to give you some insight on where we plan to go from this point on. Patches from here on out will be focused more heavily on cosmetic updates; items, maps, shards, etc. as these items have been lacking in previous patches in favor of more interactive content.
Some items we have in mind will contain "magic" aspects, such as upgrading your health, damage, or perhaps enabling you to fly without wings. As Kiros is based in mythical realm, we feel as though we have many opportunities to bring lore into the games content, and with that, new special items.
In addition to adding more cosmetic content, we plan on opening the floor for players to "upgrade themselves" via donations. Our developers have been extended the offer to create donation packs of items, presets, or various pieces of content to allow for users to purchase and have special access to in-game. This has not been set in stone and we wish to hear the communities input.

These past few months have been rather quiet around here, and we don't have much else to add minus we hope everyone has a happy holiday season! For those that celebrate, enjoy Thanksgiving with family and friends and stay safe out there.
