🌴 Summer News Update 2022
As the months have grown warmer and longer, we have made a ton of changes around here! Our site is back and better than ever, we've updated various pages, and have done some background work to improve overall functionality. Don't fret, we haven't forgotten about the game, either!
Forum & Site Changes
As many of you may have already noticed, we have returned to our old platform! We realized how clunky and unfamiliar the new forum software was, and felt terrible for putting you all through that. Now, we are back to Proboards! This change should mean no more lost activation emails, no more spam bots, and the return of a very familiar platform for users and staff alike. Our URL has transferred seamlessly to our site and should have no issues displaying our site. We want to welcome you all back with open arms!
Along with the return of our Proboards layout, we have done some small improvements in the background. Firstly, you all may notice a new Code of Conduct link in the Shoutbox. We've added a small direct link to our site rules next to your username while engaging in the Shoutbox. We hope this will provide visibility and ensure our site policies are followed at all times! Our team has also made a huge change to how Shoutbox messages work. Players will no longer have the ability to edit their Shoutbox messages for moderation purposes. We felt the original functionality of the Proboards Shoutbox would allow for rule breaks to pop up and disappear in an instant. As our team wishes to create a safe and welcoming environment for all, we've decided to disable the ability to edit Shoutbox messages. All previous edits are still visible, as indicated by the "*".
We have improved the overall appearance of both Help Desk replies and Moderator Inbox Messages. These changes should overall make our messages and replies more distinguished and clean. Inbox messages sent to you by a moderator will now have a Moderator Message tag and appear with the green paw print icon instead of the normal envelope icon. This change should help identify messages that require your attention or that have been the result of a moderator action.
**With our return to Proboards, we'd like to remind everyone that moderators are unable to utilize their private messaging system for personal reasons. We ask that you avoid PM'ing moderators regarding reports or other issues, as this is best kept to Discord. Reports, as always, should be directed to the Help Desk.
To tie up our site updates, our mod team has received some new tools and QoL changes to existing tools. We hope this helps make their jobs a little easier!
Policy Updates
Along with our site update, we have gone ahead and updated some of our site policies. We'd first like to point out a re-write of our Terms of Service. As this has been updated, we'd like to allow everyone one week to adhere to the new guidelines. Violations past this point will be handled appropriately by a moderator. Upon reviewing these changes and creating an account/continuing to use your existing account, you agree to the following terms.
We've also done a sweep regarding our Code of Conduct. These changes have been primarily made for clarity or to establish policies that have been updated from our previous site. The following changes have been made.
Please refer to the following guideline for these changes: + (Added) - (Removed) / (Edited)

Game Roadmap Update
While we don't have any images to share currently, as content is still under way, we would like to elaborate upon our plans for our next patch. Our primary goal is to introduce the new PvP sector of Kiros. Unlike many other servers, Kiros will have a dungeon/underworld themed sector of the game designated to PvP, fighting monsters, and gaining cool new items! This new world will be a great way to grind out some new levels, so we plan to up our level cap to level 30.
Along with these new worlds, we must mention there is some exploration involved. These new worlds, whether hellish or peaceful, will be hidden in various tunnels and caves. It is entirely up to you how far you will go to find new prey and items!
In this update, we also plan to incorporate new markings, fix bugs, and adjust some existing features and maps. We hope you all enjoy this next patch and will have sneak peeks coming soon!
Side Notes
Along with our website change, we would like to update our contact information for all of you. While our previous site allowed us to provide multiple email contacts, we ultimately felt it was best to return to Proboards. With this change, we have changed our email addresses;
support@kiros-mmorpg.com
forum.kiros@outlook.com
modteam.kiros@outlook.com
Any news letters from our website will be sent via our forum address, moderators actions from our mod team address, and support inquiries handled via support as normal. ♥
With that, we wish you all a happy rest of your summer and hope all is well!
Thank you for reading,
The Kiros Staff Team
