Important Notice for Aroessa Users
If you joined Kiros through Aroessa's forum, please read the following information in regards to account information and changes to our policies and reporting system.
Aroessa accounts will not carry over into Kiros for a variety of reasons.
We apologize for the conflicting information, but wish to clear up some questions that you may have in regards to your account, characters, etc. Due to the new character creator possibilities Kiros allows, migrating characters would result in crashes, missing colors and misaligned files. Due to the sheer volume of characters and accounts hosted on Aroessa, our team simply is unable to hand edit each file to migrate to the new game/server. We apologize for any inconvenience that may result from this decision.
Additionally, any information regarding the Aroessa 1.0.8 update is now void. The Aroessa website will remain open until November of 2021, however, all posting will be disabled and directed to this new forum. Kiros has its own development plans and will be updating in alignment with those plans.
Our first release intentionally does not have any new content, and is a "live" test server. We are encouraging users to try their best to break things and check out the new code features. Many new server optimizations have been added, and we wish to stress test as much as possible. If you encounter a bug, please alert us as soon as possible on our Bug Board. If the issue you are encountering can be exploited for personal gain, please instead submit a ticket to our Help Desk, as the issue should not be shared with the community for security reasons.
Reports will be handled differently than they were in the past.
Reports will no longer be PM'd to moderators here on the forum. Instead, reports should be directed to the Help Desk once again. Not only does this aid in preventing bias, but it allows the entire staff team to review an issue instead of just one singular pair of eyes. We hope that this new system will better assist our players and community and make everyone feel confident in reporting issues to our staff team.
Along with the new ticketing system, moderators have been split into three different departments. Due to the workload the new system will introduce, we felt it was in our best interests to assign moderators certain parts of the community. Their new roles speak for themselves, however, we will explain their duties below;
Global Moderators - Moderate both the forum and the game and hold more power than a normal moderator. Global moderators handle the majority of report related tickets unless otherwise specified or they are unavailable.
Game Moderators - Game moderators hold very minimal power on the forums, leaving their main duty in-game. Game moderators should be contacted regarding game issues, and will handle the majority of game issues submitted to the Help Desk.
Forum Moderators - Forum moderators are considered the forum cleaning crew as they are responsible for keeping the forum boards neat and tidy. Along with general forum cleaning, forum moderators are responsible for enforcing our code of conduct here on the forum. Please do not private message forum moderators regarding game issues, as they hold no in-game power and will be unable to assist you. If a forum moderator is the only staff member around, they will request another available moderator to tend to your issue.
If the issue in question requires admin attention, moderators will escalate the issue as needed. Please do not request admins for minor problems.
If you joined Kiros through Aroessa's forum, please read the following information in regards to account information and changes to our policies and reporting system.
As far as we're aware, all current Aroessa users have their accounts still intact for the new test build.
