Winter News Update 2022 | Site changes, updates & more!

The snow has begun to fall in many places around the world, bringing with it cool, crisp air and the excitement of the winter season. We've done a lot of changing here at Kiros, and it's that time of year for us to reveal what's been going on around here!
Board & Site Changes
These past few months we've been hard at work revamping various areas of the website to make them more in-line with the quality expected here at Kiros. In this list of changes, we've slowly begun work on overhauling our on-site Helpdesk. Various report buttons around the website now automatically fill in essential report information when clicked, making the reporting process easier and more efficient! We hope these changes will take the hassle out of collecting information for a report here on the website.
With this change, we have removed the forced ticket template off the Helpdesk for the time being. This lock will be re-implemented with the more streamlined system that has been implemented across the website. It should also be noted that private messages are now able to be accurately reported without the assistance of a site admin. With the new adjustments to the site reporting system, moderators are now able to manually retrieve the information needed to accurately handle reports involving private messages. We hope this change will make their jobs just a tad bit easier! As these changes have also removed the reliance on a site plugin, we hope loading times will be improved and functionality upgrades will be easier to provide for our players!
In addition to the new streamlined reporting system, we have made some small adjustments to our F.A.Q page here on the website. With this update comes the addition of the question: My antivirus says Kiros is a virus/malware?!? Am I downloading a virus?
This question has been commonly asked in relation to our newest updates to our launcher. We wish to reassure everyone that we would never provide harmful software to our players. Before asking for help relating to this question, we ask that players check out our F.A.Q. page to see if they're able to find the answer there moving forward.
Staff roles here on-site have also received an adjustment. Kiros no longer supports the role of "Global Moderator". All moderators on-site and in-game tend to moderation issues across the board, meaning we do not differentiate between site and game moderators. This role has been changed to "Senior Moderator". Senior moderators are no different than normal moderators in terms of powers, but are instead moderators that have served some time here at Kiros.
Game Updates
Progress has been smooth sailing for the game in terms of updates! One major change we wanted to highlight in this post was the implementation of our new account system in-game. This change unfortunately resulted in a server-wide account wipe. We wish to reassure everyone that their items, characters, pets, stash, quests, and levels are completely safe! Upon re-registering your username, you will regain access to your possessions and characters just as they were before the change. We appreciate every single one of you that has stuck with us through the various changes, both in-game and here on the forum. You guys truly are the driving force behind this game, and we strive to make it the best it can be! Without you, there would be no such thing as Kiros.
